Product Description & Benefits: The Annette Mid Body Brief Compression Garment - Stage 1 provides compression in the upper and lower abdomen, and flank areas. This garment improves blood circulation, minimizes swelling after the procedure, flushes the body out of potentially harmful fluids, accelerates the healing process, and allows the patient to return to daily routines sooner. This compression garment also provides support to surgical areas for more comfort and helps the skin fit better to it new contours. Appropriate for liposuction, tram flap procedures, and tummy tuck (abdominoplasty).
This garment is made of satin powernet lined in a soft, breathable cotton blend and works great for anyone who has had an abdominal or lower back procedure. To prevent fibrosis formation, the Women's Post-Surgical Abdominal Girdle features strap hooks that are attached on the outside of the wide elastic band on top of the garment. This wide elastic waist band allows even and optimal compression without marking the patient. This garment comes with an open crotch design with hook and eye closure.
Instructions For Use: The garment is typically worn immediately after the surgery and continuously for several days (or longer depending on the doctor’s instructions). During the initial period of post-op, your doctor may instruct you to wear this garment constantly (even while sleeping) and only remove it when you need to go to the bathroom or to shower. As your healing progresses, you should be able to remove the garment for various activities. Generally, the amount of time you will need to wear your garment will be reduced as your move forward in your healing journey. The garment is worn like long underwear underneath your clothing. It is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing over the garment.
