Instructions For Use
The garment is typically worn immediately after the surgery and continuously for several days (or longer depending on the doctor's instructions). During the initial period of post-op, your doctor may instruct you to wear this garment constantly (even while sleeping) and only remove it when you need to go to the bathroom or to shower. As your healing progresses, you should be able to remove the garment for various activities. Once beyond the first few days of post-op and you are no longer required to wear the garment continuously, you may wear the garment on a non-continuous basis (for a certain number of hours a day) until 1-2 weeks post-op (or longer depending on the doctor). Generally, the amount of time you will need to wear your garment will be reduced as your move forward in your healing journey. The garment is worn like long underwear underneath your clothing. It is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing over the garment.
Measuring Myself Correctly & Getting The Right Size
Knowing how to measure yourself correctly and getting the right size for your garment is the most crucial step of selecting a garment. For this reason, please view the Size Chart (and read the measuring tips) associated with this garment.
Garment Care: You may machine wash the garment in cold water only (with like colors), as washing in hot water can ruin the garment. You may also wash the garment by hand in cold water. For drying, tumble dry, low heat or allow the garment to be air/line-dried.
Important Healthy Tip: Due to heavy drainage and long, continuous periods of time that you may need to wear the garment, it is recommended to purchase 2 Stage One garments. Having two sets of garments will enable you to always have a freshly clean garment, while the soiled one is being washed.
Applicable Procedures: Liposuction (Biceps, Forearms), Arm Lift, Arm Reduction, Brachioplasty, Gastric bypass surgery, Bariatric surgery, Stomach stapling procedure.
