Cold Therapy Application

 

  • Leads to a vasoconstriction reducing the oedema and the inflammatory reaction.
  • This vasoconstriction can limit or even stop nosebleeds.
  • The cold leads to a reduction in the nerve conduction speed, hence the antalgic effect.
  • For vaccinations, piercings, tattoos and waxing, applying cold generates a superficial sensation of anaesthesia.
  • Cryotherapy should mainly be used in cases of recent traumatisms and acute inflammations (sprains,haematomas, burns, headaches, etc.)
  • Alternately applying both cryotherapy and thermotherapy acts on the vascular motricity (slow circulation, etc.)

Hot Therapy Application

  • Leads to a dilatation of the blood vessels, thus increasing blood circulation.
  • It has an antalgic, relaxing effect, which includes relaxing the muscles in people suffering from lumbago and spasms.
  • The heat helps to soothe the pain of arthrosis and rheumatism.
  • Thermotherapy is most effective for old, chronic lesions.
  • It should not be used for inflammatory attacks, arthritis and local infections.

Instructions for Use

  • Place 4 x LR6-1.5 V batteries - preferably alkaline - into the compartment.
  • To obtain cold, push the side selector into the up position (blue point).
  • The temperature of the disk will quickly fall to around 3° C.
  • To obtain heat, push the side selector into the down position (red point).
  • The temperature of the disk will quickly rise to around 47° C.
  • To switch the device off, move the selector back to the central position

Care Instructions

Clean your SUN.ICE using a soft, dry cloth after each use.
Remember to remove the batteries from their compartment if you intend to put the device away for a number of weeks

Health Tip

Always test the temperature of the disk in the palm of your hand before using. Hold the metal plate so that it supports the area to be treated until you obtain the desired effect.

If you feel that the temperature is excessive, simply remove the device from the area of application and switch it off.
