Measuring Instructions & Tips

Please read the instructions below for determining the correct size.

Calf/Knee High Style (Open/Closed Toe)

Note: The measurements that follow should always be taken in this exact sequence of steps below.

  1. Measure the ankle circumference at the narrowest part of the ankle that is above the anklebone. This measurement is labeled "B" in the sizing chart above. Use the sizing chart above to determine if your ankle is size I, II, III, IV, V, or VI.
Note: This must always be your first measurement that you take.
  2. Measure the calf circumference at the fullest part of the calf. This measurement is labeled "C" on the sizing chart above.
  3. Determine the calf length (called "AD" in the sizing chart above) by measuring from the floor to the bend of the knee. This measurement is taken on the outside of the calf. It may be easier for you to sit on a chair while doing this measurement. If your AD measurement is between 15 3/4-18 1/4" (40-46 cm), then you are a REGULAR. If your AD measurement is between 13-15 3/4" (34-40 cm), then you are a SHORT. If your AD measurement is less than 13" (33 cm), then you are a PETITE (petite style is only available for certain stocking styles).

Thigh High & Pantyhose Style (Open/Closed Toe)

Note: The measurements that follow should always be taken in this exact sequence of steps below.

  1. Measure the ankle circumference at the narrowest part of the ankle that is above the anklebone. This measurement is labeled "B" in the sizing chart above. Use the sizing chart above to determine if your ankle is size I, II, III, IV, V, or VI.
Note: This must always be your first measurement that you take.
  2. Measure the calf circumference at the fullest part of the calf. This measurement is labeled "C" on the sizing chart above.
  3. Measure the thigh circumference at the top of the thigh/groin area. This measurement is labeled "G" on the sizing chart above. If either calf or thigh measures FULL, you will choose a FULL size.
  4. Determine the thigh length (called "AG" in the sizing chart above) by measuring from the floor to the gluteal (buttock) fold. If your AG measurement is between 28 1/4-32 3/4" (72-83 cm), then you are a REGULAR. If your AG measurement is between 24 3/4-28 1/4" (63-72 cm), then you are a SHORT. If your AG measurement is between 21 3/4-24 3/4" (55-63 cm), then you are a PETITE (petite style is only available for certain stocking styles).
