Dermal Rollers/Skin Needle Rollers

Supported by clinical studies, Skin Dermal Rollers (also called skin rollers and dermarollers) are effective in non-surgical and non-ablative treatment for several skin conditions, including aging (wrinkles, stretching, fine lines), scarring (acne, surgical), and hyper pigmentation. Studies have shown Skin Dermal Rollers to oftentimes be a better treatment that ablative treatments, such as dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, and chemical peel. Dermal Rollers are also proven to be just as effective as other non-ablative treatments, like IPL, Fraxel, and CO2 laser in their ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Regular use of dermal roller can thicken skin, erase wrinkles, and smooth scars of all sizes and types. In using extremely fine needles to penetrate the skin, dermal rollers better stimulate collagen and elastin production that other similar treatments. The resulting micro-channels additionally aid in infusing therapeutic serums for better penetrating the skin and increasing overall efficacy. South Korea, Europe, and U.S. clinically-conducted studies have shown that Dermal Rollers can increase serum absorption by as much as 1,000 times. Moreover, Dermal Rollers are significantly more nurturing to the skin that similar invasive and expensive skin treatments. Dermal Rollers leave the epidermal barrier fully intact, and the micro-channels created by the 200 fine needles fully close within just a few hours after initial application. This provides just enough time for new collagen structures to form within the skin's lower layers, but short enough to ensure the patient can quickly resume normal schedules, thereby eliminating the commonly encountered risks and negative side effects in dermabrasion, chemical peeling, and laser-resurfacing.

Skin Dermal Rollers have the following key benefits:

  • Can increase serum absorption by as much as 1,000 times
  • Realignment of old collagen bundles
  • No permanent damage to the skin, and no pain during the procedure
  • The process stimulates physiological responses.
  • There are no known negative side-effects .
  • You can use it at home, whenever you wish.
  • Easy to use- apply your cosmetic on the skin and roll it in.
  • German-made instrument that works to precision and will last for hundreds of treatments.
  • It can be used on thin skin, and on all areas of the face, neck, and body.
  • Extremely high absorption of any type of chemical substance
  • Collagen induction through controlled mechanical stimulation.
  • Complete preservation of the epidermis during the procedure

Choosing the right size for the needle depends on your needs. Here are some recommendations:

Needle length Uses
0.25mm Increased penetration of skin care products into the skin and overall improvement of skin color and texture, thinning hair
0.5mm Increased penetration, less invasive CIT. Alopecia, wrinkles, mild pigmentation, general skin rejuvenation
1.0mm, 1.5mm Standard CIT. Acne/chicken pox scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, elasticity decline, cellulite, pigmentation
2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm More aggressive CIT for more severe cases, deep scars and wrinkles, rejuvenation of ruined skin

Using the device gently gives a tickling feeling and is not painful but if it hurts you, you can consider the following numbing cream:

LMX 5 Topical Anesthetic Cream

Microneedle Skin Rollers need to be replaced only if they get dull. The time length varies from person to person but you will know the time has come to replace your roller when it becomes painful to use it.
