Men's Garment Recovery Kits

How
Can A Compression Garment Recovery Kit Benefit My Healing Journey?
The Store features
a wide variety of specialized Compression Garment Recovery Kits for liposuction
on every part of the body (upper body, mid body, lower body, chest, abdomen,
arms, back, shoulders, thighs, legs, calves, and all other body areas). These
Recovery Kits provide a powerful way to maximize your healing benefits by having
compression during both Stage One (initial 1-2 weeks of post-op) and Stage Two
(2-8 weeks post-op) of recovery. Each Kit includes a Stage One and a matching
Stage Two garment. Additionally, some compression garment kits include a Scrotum
Support Garment that help minimize swelling that can descend downward to one’s
private region due to gravity. Depending on your doctor, you may need to wear
compression garments during both the First Stage and Second Stage of recovery.
With a Recovery Kit, you have the advantage of having continuous compression
for both Stages of recovery, which is essential for obtaining the best results
during the recovery phase and for having the greatest degree of comfort. The
garments provided in each Recovery Kit improve blood circulation, minimize swelling
after the procedure, flush the body out of potentially harmful fluids, accelerate
the healing process, and allow the patient to return to daily routines sooner.
The compression garments provided in each Recovery Kit also provide support
to surgical areas for more comfort and help the skin fit better to it new contours.
Compression garments are worn like long underwear underneath your clothing.
The following are
explanations for each type of product found in a Recovery Kit:
First
Stage Garments
A first stage compression
garment is typically worn immediately after the surgery and continuously for
several days (or longer depending on the doctor’s instructions) and then
non-continuously for the initial 1-2 weeks of post-op. During the initial period
of post-op, your doctor may instruct you to wear this garment constantly (even
while sleeping) and only remove it when you need to go to the bathroom or to
shower. Generally, the amount of time you will need to wear your garment will
be reduced as you move forward in your healing journey. Due to heavy drainage
and long, continuous periods of time that you may need to wear the garment,
it is recommended to purchase 2 Stage One garments.
Second
Stage Garments
A second stage
garment is typically worn during 2-8 weeks post-op (or longer, depending on
the doctor’s instructions). A second stage garment is worn once your first
stage garment (first 1-2 weeks of post-op) is no longer appropriate. Generally,
the amount of time you will need to wear your garment will be reduced as your
move forward in your healing journey. Second stage garments are sized smaller,
are more fashionable, and have a less bulky appearance than first stage garments.
Scrotum
Support Garment
Some compression
garment recovery kits include a Scrotum Support Garment that helps minimize
swelling that can descend downward to one’s private region due to gravity.
How
Do I Measure Myself Correctly & Get The Right Size?
Knowing how to
measure yourself correctly and getting the right size for your garment is the
most crucial step of selecting a garment. For this reason, please view the Size
Chart (and read the measuring tips) that is included along with each garment
that you view in the Store.
