|Well I don't think the piece is worth the $68 asking price but it's not terrible either. The fibers, seeing that this is a name brand wig, should be much softer, IMO. I'm a very experienced wig shopper (for 12 years) and have many wigs and decided to try the Aspen Brand. I'm not overly impressed but then again, she's not too bad either. The cap does seem to fit a little on the larger size but I'm quite aware of the fact that wigs need time to break in & mold to ~your~ head. I think a smarter choice, especially for the price, would have been to make this piece as a lace front wig. I just think it would have turned out much more believable. Not that it ~isn't~ believable ~completely~ but....there is a LOT of perma-tease throughout the entire wig. The wefting is open in the FRONT, BACK,AND SIDES, so if you have dark hair and intend on getting a lighter colored wig in this one you better be sure to have a beige wig cap. She's quite breathable and comfortable, if not just a bit itchy, something I didn't expect, but sadly is true.
I may sound as though I'm contradicting myself but this wig is best defined as contradictory. The picture gives you the sense of very soft, lush curls, but what you get are...eh...workable fibers & not of the BEST quality. The color I got is the same as pictured and it's actually the 1st time I've ever seen a wig arrive looking almost EXACTLY the same color as depicted, so that was a plus. You kinda feel, at first, like you want to give up for fear of looking like Phyllis Diller or at best, I LOVE LUCY, but...if you're unafraid to work with her, she comes around eventually and gives what you're trying to achieve. You just have to sort of jump right into those curls and not be afraid to work them either with your fingers, a wide tooth comb, or even a wide paddle brush. Then there's the issue with the surprising lack of luster on this piece. Typically wigs are OVER-shiny but this one just really lacks luster BUT (again with the contradictions), you CAN add product that adds shine and definition, making the soft curls piece-y and distinct rather than a windstorm look on your head.
I do wig reviews on YOUTUBE under YOURSTRULY61 and will be posting a review on her in the next couple of days. My guess is that she, like many wigs, will need a good breaking in period, a lot of patience, and a bit of product to achieve what you want out of her.
