Rhona Mitra is another Hollywood case of life imitating art as the actress who played a plastic surgery patient on the popular show Nip/Tuck revealed.

Although she hasn’t quite become a household name, Rhona Mitra is a recognizable face, with roles on Boston Legal and Nip/Tuck highlighting her beauty.

Before starring in action flicks like Doomsday and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, the 32-year old British beauty was the live action model for Lara Croft, the lead character in Eidos Interactive’s Tomb Raider video game series, a role she reportedly got a breast augmentation for.

New York Plastic surgeon Dr. David Shaferr tells Make Me Heal, “Rhona has nice, smooth, healthy appearing skin which can be achieved with good nutrition, hygiene, peels and topicals for someone her age. She does have what appears to be a inframammary incision for breast augmentation visible in a recent photo. But, so what, it looks great.”

On a red carpet, photos captured Rhona’s side cleavage, revealing the implant scars (photos couretsy of awfulplasticsurgery.com). While it may not be the most flattering view of Rhona’s breasts, it doesn’t mean that the augmentation was botched.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “There has been speculation that Rhona has had breast augmentation. She has a smooth downward slope and fullness around the lower pole of her breast, which suggests submuscular implant placement. She may have had the implants placed through an inframammary incision as seen on the photo taken by a high-resolution camera. Unfortunately celebrities are always under scrutiny with high resolution lenses, and seeing an inframammary incisional scar like this with the naked eye is a situation that would not be typical in everyday life.”

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “It appears to me that actress Rhona Mitra has had breast augmentation surgery. Based on the photos I have reviewed, her pictures show round breasts that compliment her frame. Ms. Mitra is a very petite woman and I think the surgeon did a good job selecting the size of her implants.”

Rhona’s breasts look great and she may have had an easier time explaining her decision to undergo plastic surgery to her family than many other actresses, because her father happens to be a plastic surgeon. Amid tabloid speculation that pop singer turned fashionista Victoria Beckham had removed her larger than life implants, Make Me Heal decided to investigate the latest plastic surgery allegations.

At 35, Posh has gone through numerous transitions and according to the rumor mill, having her breast implants removed is simply the latest. Posh has been a pop star and the glamorous jet-setting wife of British football star David Beckham, but the role she reportedly wants to focus on now is being a mother.

Apparently, oversized DD breast implants don’t fit with Posh’s maternal concept and so she has had them removed. Judging by Posh’s most recent outings, Make Me Heal thinks that Posh hasn’t totally removed the implants, but may have had them downsized.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “In my opinion Mrs. Beckham has indeed reduced the size of her breast implants. It has been reported that Victoria’s natural cup size was a small A. She increased her chest size to a 34D and then again to a 34DD. It appears that her smaller breasts are more suitable for her petite frame and I wish her all the best.”

Posh’s breasts still have an unusually high projection and round shape, so it is nearly impossible that they are all natural.

Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia says, “She probably has had her implanted breasts treated for capsular contracture which involves removing the scar capsule around the implants plus or minus an exchange of those implants. This is a frequent problem with long standing silicone gel implants in especially in thin women who smoke. It would be unusual to recur so quickly in six months, but I don’t know how completely it was treated back then.”

Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn says, “She does appear to have either had her implants reduced in size or the scar tissue around her implants cleaned up.  Either way, she looks fantastic!”

Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “Posh Spice looks as if she may have undergone implant exchange to smaller sized breast implants. Perhaps she also got her implants exchanged to silicone gel implants, which tend to have a more natural feel and look.”

Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “It certainly appears that Posh has undergone an implant exchange to reduce the size of her breasts.  It is not surprising when someone decides to downsize their implants when they initially chose an unnaturally large size. “

In the past, Posh has been rumored to have had other plastic surgery procedures as well, including Botox injections and lip injections (See Make Me Heal’s story on Victoria Beckham’s plastic surgery).

Tori Amos is one of the most famous not quite famous musicians working. Although she is notorious for changing her looks, many fans have noticed in recent years that Tori seems to have changed more than just her hair color, thanks to some plastic surgery.

At 45, Tori is at an age when many in the entertainment industry begin having more drastic plastic surgery than just a few chemical peels and laser treatments. When comparing photos of Tori from early in her career and the present, it seems that Tori may have had a nose job as well as a browlift and eyelid surgery as well.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “Tori is 45 and looking fabulous! Looking back when she first started her career, her nose was the most prominent feature on her face. Lately, her nose seems much more slimmer and her bump on her dorsum is noticeably absent. Her face also looks very refreshed and vibrant and her eyebrows seem to be slightly elevated. She may have had a brow lift, rhinoplasty and possible skin laser treatment to achieve this more youthful appearance.”

Tori has been nominated multiple times for a Grammy award, but it seems that her plastic surgeon really deserves the award for making Tori look great, even after performing for years.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., said, “Tori may have had a brow lift. On her before and after photos, it appears that her eyebrows are elevated. Many celebrities also use Botox and/or fillers to stay looking fresh and it seems likely that Tori may also.”

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “Tori Amos has been mesmerizing audience across the world for years but now it’s her face that has people talking. She looks like she has undergone a brow lift, blepharoplasty, Botox and possibly a neck lift.”

While it is still hard to tell if Tori has had any invasive procedures to keep her looking smooth, she has more likely had fillers and injectables to help compliment her anti-aging regimen. These would include Botox, chemical peels, laser treatments and possible fillers like Juvederm and Restylane.

Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer reveals, “It is unclear whether Tori has had invasive plastic surgery. She definitely has naturally beautiful skin which can be achieved with peels or laser and careful use of Botox.”

Denise Richards is better known for her sex appeal and hectic personal life than her acting career. But where would her limited acting career be without some plastic surgery to enhance her stunning body?

At 38, Denise Richards has already had three breast augmentations, more surgeries than many go through in their entire lives. But there were reasons for each one, as the mother of two revealed to shock jock Howard Stern, who has been under the knife himself.

To explain the first surgery, Denise says, “I was 19, and my roommate had the best boobs ever, and she had just had hers done,” she said with a laugh. “I was flat as a board, and I thought ‘Whoa, you can just buy them’ and stupidly had them done!”

For the second breast augmentation, she said that the doctor assumed that because she is an actress, she would want them to be extra large, “The next guy put bigger ones in, and it was not good — they were a D!”

Most likely it this pair of implants that landed Denise her most famous role in the film Wild Things, where she shares a wild lesbian kiss with actress Neve Campbell, and reveals her breasts as well.

For the third, and thus far final pair of implants, Denise seems to be happy and pleased with the results, which fit her frame and do not stand out overmuch.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “Revisional breast augmentation is unfortunately not uncommon although many plastic surgeons are striving to lower reoperation rates with this surgery. Revisional surgery may be necessary for patients that suffer from capsular contracture or implant rupture and is also done to either reduce or increase implant size, often the case when patients bear children and desire a breast lift also. Denise Richards is no exception, and her story about the miscommunication regarding her breast size with her surgeon is heard way too often. However her current surgeon has chosen implants that fit her frame and complements her figure.”

There are many reasons women choose to undergo breast augmentations, not only to get the size just right.

New York plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer reveals, “Denise admits to 3 breast augmentations. While most people are very happy with their primary augmentation, some people do decide later to go larger or smaller or may need revisions. Also, women who previously had saline breast augmentation are now choosing to exchange their implants for the more natural feeling silicone breast implants.”

Everyone agrees that Denise was right to continue having plastic surgery until she got the sizing right.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “Denise Richards made her plastic surgery experiences public after discussing her breast implants on Howard Stern. She admitted that she has undergone three separate operations in order to get the look that made her happy. A few women will find that they want to change the size of their implants as they age and their lifestyle changes. I think that Denise looks very attractive and her breast size is perfect for her body type.”

While Denise only talked about her breast augmentation on the radio program, Make Me Heal suspects that her plastic surgery efforts may have been extended above the neck as well, in the form of Botox injections.

Dr. Walden says, “As for her smooth forehead and wide-eyed look, she may have used Botox around her forehead and eyebrow region, as well as lip injections with soft tissue fillers. Weight loss, hair extensions, and tanning can also be attributed to her new look.”

Denise’s ex-husband, actor Charlie Sheen has also spent time under the knife, getting a nose job (See Make Me Heal’s story on Charlie Sheen’s rhinoplasty).

Whatever the case, Denise looks better than ever and fans can look forward to watching her and her crazy shenanigans on the new season of her reality show.

Cameron Diaz is one of America’s Sweethearts, charming movie goers in every film. As the comedic actress prepares to take on a more serious role in My Sister’s Keeper, Make Me Heal wonders if Cameron has gotten more plastic surgery to stay looking fresh on the big screen.

The 36-year old has been open about having a rhinoplasty to repair her nose, which she has reportedly broken several times. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Cameron Diaz’s nose job). But several recent appearances on red carpets and magazine covers have led to speculation that Cameron may have had more plastic surgery recently.

While Cameron is a stunning young woman, she is beginning to enter the early stages of middle age and is likely experiencing consequential signs of aging. To help her stay looking as young as her attitude, Cameron may be experimenting with injectables.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., said, “Cameron looks absolutely fantastic. She does have great skin. Botox and/or fillers are something that most celebrities do to keep fresh. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has had, and keeps having, both.”

Recent appearances reveal a very shiny and full-faced looking Cameron, indicating she may be using Botox in her forehead region.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “In the past she has admitted to multiple surgeries on her nose to alleviate breathing problems and to correct a broken nose, somewhat understandable as she is a self-proclaimed “surfer girl”. Recently there has been rumors that Cameron has been using injectables such as Botox. At the 2009 MTV awards her forehead was smoother and shinier than normal which can indicate Botox use. However, she has fine lines around the outer and inner corners of her eyes when she smiles, possible consequence of sun exposure and the normal aging process. Magazine photos taken for covers are often airbrushed, which can contribute to the flawless look many celebrities have in some shots but not others.”

While Cameron has always had full lips and cheeks, they usually begin to diminish with age, but they have been looking bigger and rosier than ever, which could be indications that fillers are at play.

Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer states, “Cameron is a beautiful person. She does appear to have undergone rhinoplasty when compared to previous pictures. Her lips and cheeks also appear fuller in some recent photographs.”

On the other hand, Cameron’s change in appearance could be natural results of aging.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “In my opinion Cameron Diaz is aging very well. After reviewing her photos, she does give the impression of being fuller in the face. I suspect this might be due to a recent a weight gain. Her lips have always looked full to me therefore I do not think she has been using a lip filler. It has been well publicized that Ms. Diaz had struggled with acne; her smooth skin might be from laser resurfacing treatments. I think that she is looking great!”

Cameron looks great and should continue with whatever regime has her looking as young and hot as actresses half her age.

Before there was Paris Hilton, icon of pink and plastic surgery, there was Los Angeles billboard legend, Angelyne.

Flamboyant Angelyne is an L.A. icon without ever having been anyone but herself. Back in the day, her oversized breasts and inflated lips graced billboards around the city. The billboards are down, but the city’s plastic surgeons are likely still busy keeping Angelyne looking picture-perfect at all times.

Angelyne is careful to have never revealed her age, (some sources place it an unlikely 45) but she’s had more than enough plastic surgery to last a lifetime. As New York plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “With Angelyne, I don’t even know where to start.”

The most noticeable thing on Angelyne is oversized breast implants, which practically sag under the effort of being lifted on such a tiny frame. After that, one’s gaze travels Angelyne’s face, surrounded by a ridiculous amount of frizzy blonde locks and enhanced with enough plastic surgery to keep an entire office of plastic surgeons in business for a lifetime.

Dr. Jennifer Walden reveals, “It seems apparent that Angelyne has undergone breast augmentation, as her breasts are grossly oversized for her petite frame. She may have had a facelift without a necklift as well given the tightness of her face in some areas, but the looseness of her skin in other areas such as her neck.”

Angelyne’s face is so enhanced with make-up and surgery that it is difficult to suppose all the procedures she has undergone, but they almost certainly include: at least one facelift, a rhinoplasty, browlift. She most likely also gets lip injections and facial fillers on a regular basis as well.

It’s obvious that she’s had breast augmentation. Only her arms are beginning to show her age. Cheers to her for still looking good.”

For L.A. dwellers, it’s just another day in Hollyweird when Angelyne zips up the 101 Freeway in her hot pink Corvette. For visitors, it’s the opportunity to see a plastic surgery legend in the neon pink flesh.

She may be a former soap star, but lately Brenda Dickson is making dramatic appearance on gossip sites, thanks to some plastic surgery.

She hasn’t appeared on a soap opera since the mid-80s, but her own real life is dramatic enough, with a messy divorce and bizarre behavior keeping tabloids busy. You’d think the time in jail and time spent ranting and raving about her stingy divorce settlement would have taken its toll on Brenda’s 60-year old appearance. Luckily, some plastic surgery and a drastic hair color change, has helped Brenda to at least appear to remain calm.

Brenda has clearly visited the plastic surgeon on a fairly regular basis since she retired from soap acting. Brenda looks like she has undergone at least one facelift, browlift, forehead lift, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “Brenda Dickson appears to have had a facelift considering he skin is extremely taught for her age. In addition, she likely uses Botox and other injectables to maintain her tight face from developing wrinkles. The smoothness of her skin could be the result of these procedures as well as chemical peels or laser resurfacing. She may have also had a blepharoplasty to reduce the look of sagging skin around her eyes as well as a browlift which gives her a bit of a surprised look.”

To help maintain her smooth and wrinkle-free look, Brenda most likely gets facial fillers and Botox injected on a regular basis. She may also have dental veneers or teeth whitening procedures at the very least as well as chemical peels or laser resurfacing.

In addition to all the work on her face, Brenda has also had a fairly obvious breast augmentation.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “Brenda Dickson appears to have undergone several plastic surgery procedures. She has definitely had her breasts augmented (perhaps more than once), a facelift, brow lift, fillers, rhinoplasty, and veneers. I would advise her not have any more plastic surgery at this time. If Mrs. Dickson continues she is risking looking overdone and too taut.”

It’s easy to see why Brenda would have so many complaints about her divorce settlement. Plastic surgery isn’t cheap, and neither are cosmetics and hair dye, and Brenda uses a lot of all of it.

Reality stars Jon and Kate Gosselin have been in the tabloids so much lately that Make Me Heal wasn’t at all surprised to see them openly declare their plastic surgery.

After giving birth to twins and then sextuplets, it is understandable that 34-year old Kate would be in dire need of a tummy tuck. Luckily, TLC, the network that airs the popular reality show paid for the expensive procedure, which can run upwards of $5,000. On a recent vacation with the kids, Kate sported a bikini, showing off the results of her abdominoplasty procedure.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn says, “Kate’s tummy tuck appears well-healed and well-performed. The most important aspect is that her scar is easily covered by the bikini. She looks great!”

In addition to her tummy tuck, Kate has also gone from a frowsy brunette to a spunky blonde, helping to show off her new found fame and teeth whitening procedures, which TLC also paid for both Kate and Jon to have.

Manhattan Plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “Kate definitely looks improved from previous photos. She looks better rested, happier and has a bright smile.”

While Kate and TLC have openly admitted to the tummy tuck procedure, Kate may have had other body contouring procedures, like liposuction. Her face also looks to be less rounded, which could be thanks to some liposuction around the chin and a chin implant.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “Kate Gosselin underwent a tummy tuck after the birth of her children but it’s not clear that it’s all she’s had done. Looking at recent photos of her in a bikini, she may have had liposuction of her thighs as well. In addition, her chin is much more well-defined in recent photos which could be the result of submental liposuction and a chin implant.”

In addition to the tummy tuck, Kate has also has reportedly become a “tanorexic,” hitting the tanning salon on a regular basis. Kate’s hair has also come up in tabloid stories, as it is rather unique and apparently gaining in popularity. While at the beauty salon, Kate also gets her nails done, leaving some to wonder how she has time to raise her large brood at home.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “Kate Gosselin is another reality star that wants everyone to know about her plastic surgery. Her transformation from an overweight small town housewife into a flat abs bikini babe has many people speechless. It has been reported that the 34-year old mother of 8 spends a lot of time pampering herself with salon trips. She gets her nails and hair done in addition to visiting a tanning salon frequently. It is debatable whether her priorities are in the right place or not, but at least her tummy tuck looks good.”

No tummy tuck is alike, and depending on the desired results, as well as what the surgeon has to work with, the tummy tuck may not be as perfect as desired.

Body plastic surgery expert Dr. John Di Saia explains, “I see her tummy tuck scar spanning the area outside that bikini and going up towards the hip. I also see a lower tummy bulge that maybe could be a bit smaller. She is a case of eight children with six being from one pregnancy and apparently had a free tummy tuck as a promotion after the last pregnancy. It is hard to determine what a tummy tuck in such a patient should look like. Much of this is operator dependent as well as dependent upon the nature of the tissues (thin or more healthy) and the patient’s healing capacity.”

While Kate has been open about her time spent under the knife, allowing film crews in on the surgery, it doesn’t seem that she has had any work above the neck.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., said, “Kate Gosselin has been open about her tummy tuck, but I don’t think she has had any facework, other than improving her hair and make-up.”

Kate isn’t the Gosselin who has benefited from plastic surgery. Her co-star on the show, and possible philanderer of a husband, Jon, has also benefited from plastic surgery.

In addition to teeth whitening procedures, Jon has also had hair transplants to help enhance his thinning hair.

Jon had what is classified as Norwood Class 5 hair loss pattern. He was treated with hair grafts at the New Hair Institute in one procedure where he received 2087.

Kate isn’t the only mother of multiples to go under the knife for cosmetic reasons, rather than simply popping out babies. “Octo-mom” Nadya Suleman looks suspiciously similar to actress Angelina Jolie to be entirely natural (See Make Me Heal’s story on Nadya Suleman’s plastic surgery).

While Jon and Kate definitely look great with their plastic surgery procedures, Make Me Heal hopes that some of the rumors of their personal life prove false and that they really are caring parents.

Since making her film debut in the surprise hit Napoleon Dynamite, Haylie Duff has come under a lot of fire for not looking as good as her little sister, former Disney diva Hilary Duff. Makemeheal.com suspects Haylie of getting plastic surgery in order to look as cute as her little sister.

24-year old Haylie Duff may not be the talented powerhouse her little, and more popular, sister Hilary Duff is. But she may be trying to come close with the help of some plastic surgery.

Part of Hilary’s cuteness comes from her small, round face and tiny nose. While Haylie bears a resemblance to her sister, her features are much larger and more pronounced. According to some recent rumors floating around the Net’s hottest gossip sites, Haylie may have tried to rectify this recently, by getting her nose and chin done.

Haylie’s new nose seems to be smaller, thanks to a well done rhinoplasty. Her chin is also rumored to have been shaved down with a genioplasty. Her new nose and chin help give her a softer, more feminine look.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “Haylie Duff, often referred to as Hillary Duff’s sister, is following the steps of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson. We have seen the scenario played out before; one “prettier” sister who is more successful than the other quirkier sister, that is, until the other one has plastic surgery! Just like Ashlee Simpson, Haylie Duff has recently had a rhinoplasty and chin surgery. She looks great and is settling into her new look. In my opinion the surgeon did an excellent job balancing Miss Duff’s proportions. She does not look overly altered, just a better version of herself. I wish her the best of luck with her career.”

Haylie hasn’t been in the spotlight lately, which could be because she is recuperating from her recent procedures. Or it could be because the paparazzi are more focused on bigger stars.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “Haylie Duff does appear to have undergone rhinoplasty as her nose now appears to be much smaller, straighter and in better alignment with the rest of her features. It also looks as if she has had a reduction genioplasty (surgery to lessen the size of the chin) given that it is much less pointy. It is hard to tell the extent of her work at this time as she has likely had the procedures somewhat recently.”

New York plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “Haylie certainly appears to have had a chin implant and rhinoplasty. In comparing the photos, her chin projection is greater and the profile of her nose has changed.”

On the other hand, what seems to be plastic surgery could just be a more flattering camera angle or tilt of the head that helps to deemphasize Haylie’s more prominent features.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., said, “I don’t believe Haylie Duff has had any work done. By smiling in the picture on the left, it makes her nose and chin stick out, which is a contrast to the other profile picture.”

Whether or not Haylie has actually been under the knife is irrelevant, as she is once again following in her little sister’s footsteps. While Haylie may not have been on the big screen lately, she’s been on TV and can likely be found on red carpets for various events.
