Make Me Heal reported when Sylvester Stallone’s ex-wife Brigitte Nielsen planned to go under the knife on German TV (See Make Me Heal’s story on Brigitte Nielsen’s plastic surgery). Now she’s out of the operating room and back on the street, looking better than ever.

On the show, Brigitte received multiple cosmetic procedures, which according to her report at the time included, “a complete renewal: facelift, eyelift, fat injections in my face, liposuction, a breast lift and I need new teeth.”

During a facelift procedure, the surgeon will place tiny incisions within the hair line and within the natural contours of the ear, then pull the skin up and back and remove any excess skin for a younger, tighter appearance. An eyelift, or blepharoplasty, corrects drooping upper eyelids and/or puffy bags under the eyes and may or may not be performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon will make tiny incisions in the natural creases of the eyes and then remove excess skin, muscle, and fat to produce the desired effect. Fat injections help fill in deep hollows and creases for a more full and youthful appearance. Although Brigitte doesn’t say what areas of the body she is having liposuction performed on, in some reports it was on her thighs, where it is often used, as well as the stomach, to improve the body’s contour by removing fat from between the skin and muscle. A breast lift raises and firms the breasts through the removal of excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue with an incision made around the areola and going straight down, lifting the areola to a more youthful position. Make Me Heal hopes that Brigitte is exaggerating her need for new teeth and is only getting veneers placed on her existing teeth, rather than actually getting new teeth through means of implants, which can be a lengthy process.

Brigitte was very open in her wish to break the mystique of Hollywood, saying:

“I know I am the first female celebrity in the world who has allowed herself to be filmed like that in an operating theater. I know I will be breaking a taboo. But I’m sure that it will provoke a new discussion. It’s time things change. I feel 30 and want to look that way again. The secrecy in Hollywood is annoying. You can see that the stars do not age naturally. It’s not right that the fans, the normal women, are lied to.”

Now that 44-year old surgery has met her goal of showing the world what it takes to look good, the world will have to wait and see if she also gets to show off her new body in Playboy magazine, twenty years after she first appeared on the cover.

Convicted French plastic surgeon Michel Maure, 59, is believed to have fled France on his yacht after the French state prosecutor of Marseilles recommended he go to jail for four years.

Dr. Maure was recently found guilty of illegally carrying out dozens of plastic surgeries, including liposuction and breast augmentation, in a dirty, run-down clinic. Maure was under serious scrutiny for failing to administer sufficient anesthetic, thereby inflicting severe pain on his patients. One female patient said that she found her shoes filled with blood while driving home after a botched liposuction. Another case reported that a woman’s remodeled breast slid to her armpit overnight following a routine breast augmentation.

Maure was found guilty on charges of illegal practice, endangering life, and wounding. He was granted bail until September 8, where he would then be sentenced. However, he has since fled on his bail, and is now rumored to have left France with his girlfriend and three children.

Maure, trained to be an anesthetist, was able to operate as a plastic surgeon due to a loophole in French law, which was just corrected in 2002. He attracted his patients by offering relatively low rates and using an internet site called magicclinic.com, where he falsely claimed he carried out 300 operations annually, and that he was “one of the great aesthetic surgeons of the world.”

Maure looks to be a serious Botox addict, as his forehead is free of wrinkles, and he likely gets laser treatments to keep his facial skin smooth. He also looks like he wears a hair toupee.

For now, there is no reward for his capture, although we would suggest that the police give free breast implants (not to be done by Dr. Maure) to the person who tips the police off.

Fans of Bravo’s reality television show, Shear Genius, will recognize judge and celebrity hairstylist Kim Vo. Others may know him for his prevalence on celebrity gossip shows and his appearances on E! The Daily 10. Make Me Heal knows that it takes a lot of plastic surgery work to get Kim looking the way he does.

From his bleached hair, to his faux tan, Kim is certainly a man who spends a lot of time on his appearance, possibly even more than his celebrity clients, like Britney Spears (See Make Me Heal’s story on Britney Spears). Certainly, he has spent a fair amount of time under the knife altering his French-Vietnamese heritage.

Kim’s lips stand out, so he has certainly had them filled with something. As they are regularly the same big size, but an irregular shape, Make Me Heal suspects that they are filled with long lasting collagen or a permanent filler rather than a temporary dermal filler like Restylane.

To look more Hollywood and less Asian, Kim has likely had an eyelid surgery and a rhinoplasty. Asian double eyelid surgery, as the blepharoplasty procedure is called, makes the eye appear more rounded and double-lidded by having a surgeon implement a crease. It is often complimented with a browlift as well, which may be the case with Kim, especially for patients in their 30’s, which Kim looks to be beyond. He also may have had a canthopexy to reduce excess fat in lower eyelid surgery, which is often performed in conjunction with a browlift.

In addition to having his eyes done, Kim likely also had a nose job to make his nose larger, which is often the goal of Asian rhinoplasty. Both the nose bridge and nasal tip get implants, which, depending upon the discretion of the plastic surgeon, can be either artificial, like silicone, or tissue from the patient.

Jaw reduction and cheek implants are also common Asian cosmetic surgery procedures, but Kim’s jaw and cheeks are very defined, so it is unlikely that he did this. More likely, it looks as though he has lost significant weight since his rise to fame, helping his jaw and cheekbones become more pronounced. He could have had a liposuction procedure, but since his entire body looks reduced, it is unlikely.

Although there is no report of Kim’s age, Make Me Heal judges by his neck, which looks to be the only area above his shoulders he hasn’t worked on, that Kim is in his 40’s and is wrinkle-free thanks to dermal injectables like Botox. He may have also had a facelift or mid-facelift to tighten the area around the nasolabial folds.

He also has very blonde hair for a person who most likely has very dark hair. As it looks to be full and healthy, rather than frizzed out and damaged as bleached hair often is, Kim is clearly a master of his craft.

However, if Kim continues to spend time under the knife and needles, he will likely be better known for his plastic appearance than his great hairstyling.

We’ve all heard how most of the skincare products that we apply on the skin never actually penetrate through to the deep layers of the skin, which results in very little delivery of the product’s active ingredients to dermis. Now, there is a hot new at-home device that solves this problem called the skin roller. The skin roller uses extremely fine needles which penetrate the skin just enough to stimulate elastin and collagen repair. Most skin products are applied only to the surface of the skin and 99% of these products are removed by the environment or wiped off during the day and night. Research has shown that using a skin roller such as the one from MTS Microneedle Skin Roller, Leaf & Rusher Tx Roller, or Dermaroller can increase absorption of serums by as much as 1,000 times and improve the effectiveness of active ingredients like vitamin A and C.

The skin roller treatment creates thousands of tiny punctures in the skin that open micro-channels that close within just a few hours after the application. This provides just enough time for new collagen structures to form within the skin’s lower layers, but short enough to ensure that you can resume your normal schedule. The result is the build-up of collagen over a period of four to eight weeks, which improves the skin’s appearance.

If you don’t know who Phoebe Price is, you’re not alone. The tabloid frequenter seems to turn up at every red carpet event and in the pages of every tabloid, although nobody knows why she gets so much exposure. More of a mystery than who she actually is, however, is how much plastic surgery she has had done.

Although Phoebe is more famous for being Phoebe and being seen than being seen in anything other than the what not wear sections of tabloids, Phoebe does have some acting and modeling credits to her name, including a small role in the recent movie remake of Get Smart.

There seems to be no official record of Phoebe’s age, although some sources place her at anywhere from 28 to 35 years of age. If this is the case, she has already had more than enough plastic surgery to last the rest of her life and oddly enough, it all makes her look older, not younger.

Phoebe has transformed her face so that no matter, how she contorts it, it is unable to move, which is likely a result from injectable fillers and Botox. Phoebe also uses lip injections to make her lips as trout-pouty as any Hollywood A-lister.

In addition to filling her face with injectables, Phoebe also may have filled it with cheek implants. Her cheeks are larger than life and stick out considerably. She also looks like she has had at least one nose job in the past. The tip of her nose is very turned-up and her bridge is very thin, revealing very flared nostrils.

She also has breast implants, which appear to be painfully obvious on the actress/model’s thin frame.

Phoebe’s garishly dyed red hair and copious make-up for every occasion accent her odd appearance. Although she looks like she’s had every procedure known to man thus far, Make Me Heal still spots some sun damage in close-ups of Phoebe, so she may want to look into a laser treatment like Fraxel to take care of that.

Also, along with Mischa Barton, Phoebe has been at the center of cellulite, so she may want to use some sort of cellulite treatment to avoid future embarrassment. Reality stars, Kim Kardashian and her sisters, recently underwent The VelaShape Cellulite Treatment, from the makers of VelaSmooth. It is a non-invasive laser treatment that heats fat cells and then uses a vacuum to smooth out the uneven appearance of the skin. If Phoebe continues to stay in front of the bright lights of the camera and continues to have plastic surgery, it seems like her face might melt.

It takes a lot of work to be the First Lady of France. Just check out all the plastic surgery work Carla Bruni has had in order to rise to the top to be popular French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s new wife and is said to be following in the footsteps of American Presidential wife fashion icon, Jackie O.

40-year old Carla Bruni began her rise to fame as model at the tender age of 19. Like many high fashion models and entertainers, Carla changed her looks to enhance her career, beginning with a nose job, which mostly took place sometime in her 20’s. Carla’s natural nose is much longer than her current nose, which ends in a button and with more visible nostrils than previously. It also has a more defined ridge and tip, which are positive indications of a nose job.

High fashion models often have very defined cheekbones and although Carla’s were high when she began, they have become even higher over the years and grown clearly defined hollows under them, which are indications of small cheek implants.

In keeping with the modern emphasis on smiling models, not to mention smiling presidential wives, Carla also looks like she had veneers put on her teeth to make them uniformly sized and white.

Recent photos of Carla reveal that her skin is as smooth at 40 as it was in her 20s, which may be the result of Botox aiding the famous skincare products of France.

Carla is certainly more glamorous than most presidential wives and she is definitely in keeping with her modeling companions. She looks great and will likely continue to do so, aided by minor nips and tucks for the rest of her life.

Wendy Williams is a larger than life entertainment personality that recently made the transition from radio to television. She recently made the news for trading plastic surgery based barbs with her guest, reality show villain Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth of “The Apprentice.” Although both women have intensely strong personalities, Wendy wins when it comes to having plastic surgery.

Wendy is a huge fan of wrinkle reducing Botox, which sparked a fight when she recommended Omarosa use Restylane to fill in her wrinkles, according to the In Your Face blog.

Although Omarosa has had a very obvious breast augmentation during her rise to infamy, Wendy has had two. She has also had liposuction and a tummy tuck in addition to the aforementioned regular use of Botox.

In her book, “Wendy’s Got the Heat,” she openly discusses her plastic sugery:

If I had told my parents my plans, they would have probably said something like, “Liposuction? Wendy, all you have to do is push back from the table. A good diet and exercise will fix all of that.” Who the hell wants to diet and exercise when you can have liposuction. I didn’t want to wait. I wanted my new body now.

After giving birth to a son, she had further surgery to replace her implants and further weight reduction:

“After the baby and a hundred pounds, I needed a tummy tuck. So six months after the baby was born, I scheduled a tummy tuck, a little more liposuction on my thighs and I got my implants replaced. Implants should be replaced every ten years because the casing wears thin. …”

Wendy is pleased with her results, saying, “I know I’m not perfect, but plastic surgery has allowed me the freedom mentally to be me.”

It is nice when someone pays so much for surgery is so satisfied with their results.

46- year old Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has been compared to that of the Kennedy’s. But would the democratic candidate be quite so handsome without a nose job in his past? Make Me Heal looks at the rumors of plastic surgery in the Obama camp.

Early pictures of law student Barack Obama reveal a geeky kid with a big nose and hair to match. The nose in his early pictures is quite wide and very round. Fast forwarding several years to the current presidential campaign, and some insiders have claimed that Obama’s nose looks more refined at the tip, which may have been the result of a conservative rhinoplasty procedure.

A reader of Orange County based plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia’s blog, identified as Corey queries, “Since this is a plastic surgery forum. Have you seen Barack prior to his rhinoplasty? Check out the pictures of him while in law school. Very big nose. Wonder if he could have been president with the old nose? He wasn’t very attractive then.”

Dr. Di Saia responded, saying “It looks like the blogger might be right. The old Barack image features a more rounded nasal tip. His later images look consistent with a minimal tip rhinoplasty to me. It makes for a more “Caucasian” look. Maybe.”

On the other hand, plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif told Make Me Heal that he doesn’t think that Barack has even had the minor rhinoplasty.

So the jury’s out as to whether or not the odds-favorite candidate for the presidency is also a nose job candidate.

As for Barack’s wife Michelle Obama, there is also a rumor of a nose job. Michelle’s nose looks the same to Make Me Heal throughout the years, implying that the nose job rumor is false. However, Michelle’s face is very smooth and wrinkle-free, despite what must be a very stressful life on the road, leading us to believe that the 44-year old may use Botox to relax facial muscles and prevent her face from wrinkling. If she does use Botox, it is a job well-done, because she doesn’t have the overly tight and unnatural appearance of some users, like Nicole Kidman (See Make Me Heal’s story on Nicole Kidman’s plastic surgery).

On the other side of the debate is John McCain’s wife Cindy and her notoriously pulled-looking face, which Make Me Heal previously reported to be the product of laser treatments, a potential lower facelift, and eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). The Hollywood elite tend to be notorious Obama followers, so he and Michelle aren’t the only ones campaigning for the presidency with rumors of plastic surgery. Kim Kardashian is a notorious Obama supporter, wearing a T-shirt that states, “Obama is my homeboy (See Make Me Heal’s story on Kim Kardashian’s plastic surgery).

It seems that politics and plastic surgery go together hand in hand, no matter what your race or political party affiliation.

Rock-n-roller Alice Cooper is not allowed to get plastic surgery because his wife Sheryl will not let him go under the knife.

The 60-year old star once considered getting a rhinoplasty (nose job), but his wife of 32 years stopped him from doing it because his signature nose is so unique that changing it would no longer make him look like Alice Cooper. Sheryl believes that his nose is part of rock-n-roll “history” and changing it would be like trying to change history.

“I threatened to get my nose fixed once and my wife screamed, ‘You must never do that! That nose has a lot of history!’”, said Cooper.

Since his brief temptation with plastic surgery, Cooper, whose real name is Vincent Furnier, has never looked back thanks in part to his needle-phobia.

“I’ll never go under the knife. I’m needle-phobic so plastic surgery is not for me. I’m not trying to look like Brad Pitt. Alice Cooper needs to look like Alice Cooper.”
