Is That A Nose Job On Gabrielle Union?
Gabrielle Union isn’t the most famous actress around, but she is one of the most recognizable black actresses working in Hollywood today. As she moves up the ladder of success, Make Me Heal suspects she may have had a rhinoplasty to help her fit in.
35-year old Gabrielle has always looked younger than her age; portraying a high-school sophomore in the film 10 Things I hate About You, back in 1999 when she was actually 26-years old. Since then, Gabrielle’s nose has looked a little different.
Comparing pictures, Gabrielle’s nose looks like it has been narrowed very slightly. Her bridge looks gently more defined and the tip slightly less round. The rhinoplasty is so subtle, it is very difficult to detect.
In later pictures, Gabrielle’s face looks slimmer, so the appearance of a subtle nose job could be the result of the same nose on a slimmer face. Like many actresses, Gabrielle looks like she has lost a few pounds since she began her career. Also, different make-up and lighting can make a big difference in helping an actress’ nose look slimmer, so the extreme subtlety in her nose could be a result of cleverly applied make-up and flattering lighting as opposed to actual surgery.
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California agrees that Gabrielle had a nose job, telling Make Me Heal, “It does appear from the photos that Gabrielle Union might have had a rhinoplasty. From the frontal view, Gabrielle Union’s tip looks a little smaller and defined, while her bridge looks a little narrower. However, the [sides] ala appears unaltered. If she did have rhinoplasty, her surgeon did a nice conservative and subtle job.”
Gabrielle’s recent appearance on the TV show Ugly Betty is sure to help forward her belief that “Hollywood needs to recognize all shades of African American beauty.” On the show, Gabrielle played sister to Vanessa Williams (another African-American actress who Make Me Heal suspects also had a nose job), the show’s arch villainess. I don’t think she’s had nose surgery. She’s put some make up to slim her nose down.

Gabrielle definetly did NOT have a nose job. The pictures are taken from complete different angles. In the first picture her nose looks smaller in the second picture her nose looks flattened out. WHY WOULD SHE FLATTEN HER NOSE OUT? It’s obviously the angle of the picture. Show me a picture where her head is the same angle and then maybe we could talk. Otherwise, this is pure crap.

It looks to me like she just lost a little weight. Losing and gaining weight can make your nose look different.

Gabrielle Union is just as beautiful nose job or not. She has amazing lips too…just like most African-American women do.

Gabrielle Union’s nose is her own, it is the result of an excellent makeup artist. I too am a makeup artist so, I know the method of contouring a nose, or cheekbones.

It’s pretty obvious that Gabrielle did NOT have a nose job. It looks exactly the same if you take into account that the lighting on all the pictures is different. It seems to me that this site thinks EVERYONE has had a nose job. Even if the difference is sooooo slight that it could easily be a result of lighting or makeup, this site will still swear that it’s a nose job.

Gabrielle Union definitely did not get a nose job! All she did was contour her nose to create the illusion of a more narrow nose. I contour my nose, and in certain pictures, my nose looks more narrow depending on how much I contour. If you look at her nostrils, you can see that the bottom of her nose is the same size. Look past the contouring, and you can see that her nose is still wide. Make up does WONDERS!!! Thank god for make up!!!

I agree, it doesn’t look like a nose job to me… i worked in fashion for a little while and it just seems like contouring and some weight loss. Her entire face looks slimmer to me.
