Did Jessica Simpson Get Another Lip Augmentation?
As Jessica Simpson’s latest album drops to the bottom of the country music charts, it seems the once pop princess has again used plastic surgery to blow up her lips in an attempt augment her career.
28-year old Jessica has long been the subject of plastic surgery rumors that most center around her large chest, but have also included having had a nose job, chin impants, lip augmentation, cheek job and an eye job.
The only rumor that held any truth was having had lip injections, when, in 2006, Jessica admitted to having Restylane put in her lips and not liking the results. Although the blonde had initially denied having any plastic surgery, Jessica eventually came clean saying, “I had that Restylane stuff.”
“It looked fake to me. I didn’t like that. But…it went away in, like, four months. My lips are back to what they were. Thank God!”
Then, after her lips returned to normal size, they once again began to look too big for her face in 2007. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Jessica Simpson’s lip augmentation).
Now, at the tail end of 2008, the 28-year old lips have again fluctuated, appearing to be normal when the singer gave a special performance on Dancing with the Stars just last month and then appearing over-inflated more recently when caught by a paparazzi’s camera.
Facial expert plastic surgeon Dr. Alexander Rivkin tells Make Me Heal, “Jessica needs to step away from the needle. Gummy worms are good in a bag or on a plate. They’re not cute sitting on your face.
“In her defense, she may have just had them done (what she was doing going out immediately after is a big mystery) and they may be freshly swollen. Still, there’s no excuse for that!”
Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia agrees that Jessica’s lips have a just done look. He tells Make Me Heal, “Jessica Simpson looks like she was just done in that image. She looks like she went smaller which is better.”
Jessica’s lip size seems to fluctuate every few months, indicating that the singer may be trying out different lip fillers to get her pout just right.
Make Me Heal thinks that if she hasn’t found the perfect pout yet, she should just embrace her natural shape and try playing with lipstick shades and lip plumpers instead of unsuccessfully filling her face.
