How Plastic Surgery Made Patrick Dempsey A Heartthrob
Former teen geek and current television heartthrob on the hit series Grey’s Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey may not have been McSteamy without a well-done rhinoplasty (nose job).
When 42-year old Patrick appeared on the big screen in this past weekend’s premiere of his new movie, Made of Honor, his nose was a completely different shape than when he starred in movies as a kid with a big, unattractive nose.
As a young man, Patrick’s nose had a wide bridge and a big and bulbous tip. Now, his nose is thinner along the bridge as well as the tip. His nose has also become more crooked, although its imperfection is considered charming rather than taking away from Patrick’s overall handsome appearance. While it cannot be determined if Patrick left his nose crooked by choice or the plastic surgeon simply screwed up, the effect has helped him avoid looking too feminine as an all-too-perfect nose would not give him the rugged and imperfect masculinity for which he is adored.
Dempsey looks young for a man in his middle age, which he credits to staying in shape as well as admitting to the use of Botox, an injectable filler, which smoothes out lines and creases as well as enhances the shallow contours that often accompany aging. It is likely that Dempsey did not stop at Botox to keep his skin looking youthful and has probably dabbled in laser skin procedures such as Fraxel, Active Fx, and Pixel.
Patrick Dempsey’s nose job has made him much hotter than before and has given his career a big boost. Make Me Heal applauds his decision to enhance his nose and likes the natural, yet imperfect contouring of its new appearance.
