I have 8 weeks post blepharoplasty and still have chemosis and ectropion. My eyes are red and dry. Looking for a good knowledgeable surgeon to correct my problems. I live in NY. Anybody can suggest one?

My stitches are still in for a few days. Was this stuff used around your eyes? My eyes never seemed to have anything on them if this was an ointment. At first the swelling felt like they didnt close all the way while I was staying at the hospital. I also panicked a bit about upper mouth area swelling....but its gone down a lot now. Swelling can shift about the body it seems. Hope you are doing better!

You look great. I am wondering if you have any scarring after surgery. I have long deep scars on upper lids, so upset, not sure what to do :(

I'm three weeks out after upper and lower and my eyes feel like they are filled with sand. Very dry and still blurry. I too wasn't informed of this possibility.

IT'S CLEARED UP BUT VERY DRY EYES. NOT SURE I WOULD DO THIS AGAIN.

Hi Humingbird1, I believe you sent me a private message but I can't access it. I'm sure you have many questions. I had an upper and lower bleph with canthopexy. I wasn't allergic to anything, it just happened and lasted for at least 6 weeks. I was placed on steroid pills, drops, but nothing really helped but time. It does get better, so keep your spirits up. My eyes still get red, when they're tired. I finally got on drops that help! Good luck with this. I completely know how distressing it is!

It is much better now but bottom eyelid seems to still be swollen and my eyes are bloodshot and blury. Everyone says it will get better in time. I just wish I had been warned about the possibility of this happening. I will post and "afater" photo soon. Thanks.

You poor thing. I've never heard of this in all the info I read before having my upper blephs done. Hope you are recovering and will one day be pleased with your result.

Has it cleared up yet? I had it too after bleph surgery and it took awhile to clear up, but it finally did.
