The surgery went well although getting over the anaesthesia was difficult.Having limited movement of your arms is hard. I am three and a half weeks post surgery and getting more comfortable.
I have considerable numbness and swelling in both arms.
Anticipate 4 to 5 weeks off work for this procedure. I was told 2 to 3 which was not at all accurate. Pain was tolerable and I didnt take any pain killers post op. It was the itching and stinging that was very annoying and sleep was difficult for the first couple of weeks since I had to lay on my back with arms elevated.

From: | 2011-06-30 14:19:04 so i am 3 and 0ne half months out from surgery and the scars and tightness in my arms has me uncomfortable and in long sleeves all summer....how are you doing now...any suggestions
From: | 2011-03-15 20:39:24 Wow you look great! The doctor done an excellent job and didnt even leave skin hanging. I want this done but have seen before and after photos where IMO the doctor didn't take enough skin and the cuts was uneven so I was having second thoughts. I cant get over how even yours is wow.
From: | 2010-02-17 07:29:50 No regrets! Of course it's not perfect but I'm very pleased. The scars will take a long time to fade and they are still sore with some swelling but that should disappear in around six months post op.

From: | 2010-02-04 05:56:30 Thanks! you can see the scars easily on the front view after shots. (top middle pic). I am massaging them twice daily to try to reduce the skin puckering. they are still quite red and hopefully will fade in time, but i'm quite happy with the results. Cost was just under $7000.
