Fat Grafting to Flanks/Banana Roll Area After Botched Lipo
Album DescriptionI had posted this album years ago, but later took it down because I was so happy with my results and just wanted to move on and leave the past behind. However, SO MANY WOMEN HAVE HAD BOTCHED LIPO TO THE BANANA ROLL/FLANKS like I did, that I am re-posting my album as a warning to any of you thinking of having lipo to that area, and to reassure any of you who are already botched in that area and are afraid there may be no way of fixing it. As you'll see from my photos, it can be fixed.
Before lipo, I was a size 14 with an hourglass figure. I wanted a slightly smaller hip measurement, but the surgeon I went to took out an insane amount of fat--so much that I went from a size 14 to a size 6, and my skin couldn't retract enough after such drastic surgery and I was left with lots of loose skin that made me look like I was an old grandmother, not a young woman in her twenties. I learned that it's always better to be naturally curvy and firm, rather than skinny but saggy. Through 2 rounds of fat grafting, Campos took me from a size 6 to a size 14, which was my original size. I had so much loose skin that even though I didn't particularly desire to have a larger butt aesthetically, going up in size was necessary in order to be firm and look normal again, without horrible sag lines on the sides and backs of my legs. I am very happy with my results and I can even wear a bikini in public again and feel proud of how I look.
If you have had botched lipo which left you with sagging at the flanks/buttocks/banana roll area, I strongly suggest that you go to a surgeon in Mexico or South America to get grafting, not a US surgeon. Surgeons in Mexico and South America have been doing grafting for 2 decades longer than US surgeons, they know how to spin the fat to separate the parts that would prevent it from grafting, and the ratio of the fat that survives is SIGNIFICANTLY better for these surgeons in Mexico and South America. Also, it was a US surgeon with a fancy office in a penthouse in San Francisco who botched me in the first place, and a surgeon (Jaime Campos) in Mexico who fixed the horrible work done by the first surgeon, so the proof lies in the facts. There are many wonderful surgeons in the US, but all of the ones I went to (famous, top-rated surgeons in major cities) to ask if they could fix me, told me flat out that I was so botched that no surgeon in the world could fix me. As you can see from my after photos, they were wrong. Also, Jaime Campos only charged me 3,500 per round of grafting, which included the cost of lipo to harvest the fat. The US surgeons I consulted with were going to charge $16-20k, which is absurd. I had a very good experience with Dr. Campos, his office staff, facilities and his after-care, and I highly recommend him. My issue was so severe that I did have to go back to him for grafting twice, but I kept almost all of the fat he grafted each time, and I am very happy with my results.
Campos is an artist and left me perfectly smooth and firm. However, I have some slight unevenness on the sides of my legs caused by dents made in the grafted fat because I wore a recovery garment that was too short. If you get grafting to the buttocks/flanks area, please wear a garment that goes below the knees, and be careful not to let anything press into the grafted fat for too long. The elastic left rings around my legs, but I am smoothing them with a ProBody massager and it is working.
