Pictures coming soon.
Album DescriptionMy husband left for Afghanistan last year, I had weight loss surgery 2 months later & lost 100 pounds before he came him on leave. Even though I lost 100% of my weight and feel great (in clothes) I couldn't stand to let my husband see me naked or touch parts of my body while he was home bc of the loose skin. I look in the mirror & see the body of a 90 year old woman instead of a 28 year old woman. I am wanting to have the loose skin between my thighs, around my butt (my kids say I have a long, rectangle, wrinkly butt now & they are right) the loose skin on my stomach and have something done to my breast bc I have lost a lot of tissue & now it's just wrinkly skin. I would like to have this done before my husband comes home again. He will have been gone for a year, he deserves to come home to see & touch his wife without me freaking out that he's going to find me disgusting. I never thought I would feel this way after my weight loss but I can't help it.

My Personal Statement:
I was always physically fit, ate well, & took pride in my appearance. About 8 months after having a partial hysterectomy due to cancer I started getting real bad headaches, felt sick anytime I ate, had no energy & was running a low grade fever all day every day. After about 3 months of those symptoms I started gaining weight, I gained 80 pounds in less than 4 months. I would literally go to bed 1 size and wake up a size larger. I couldn't hardly eat during this time bc everything made me sick & I was still working out at least 3 times a week. Over the next 2 1/2 years I visited a dozen different doctors, all of which told me there was nothing wrong with me other than I needed to lose weight. 2 went so far as to put me on antidepressants saying it was all in my head. I gave up until the symptoms got too bad a year later. That's when I found a doctor who checked my hormones & insulin levels. I was then diagnosed with poly cystic ovary syndrome. I tried different medications, different diets, etc. to lose the weight and control everything that comes along with PCOS. I looked into weight loss surgery in 2010 and was met with negative feed back from friends and family. They told me it was the easy way out, I should just do this and that. So I backed out of the surgery. I still couldn't lose weight on my own so I decided to go through with the surgery in October 2012 bc I wanted to be the hot wife my husband married before he came home from Afghanistan. To be honest, it was by far not the easy way out. It was hard, I was in pain, it took a lot of pushing to keep from being dehydrated and malnourished at first but I fought through it all & here I am feeling & looking amazing. My pre surgery weigh in was 231 pounds, 5' 1" tall, size 20 women's plus size pants, size XXL women's plus size shirts. Now, May 2013, (exactly 7 months post op) I weigh 129 pounds, size 3 junior pants and size small to medium juniors shirts. I feel amazing! I have not taken any medication for high blood sugar or high cholesterol sense my surgery. In the evenings I cook dinner, clean up then spend hours outside playing tetherball, volleyball, softball, bike riding & going on walks with my children without stopping for breaks often. I feel amazing!
If you are wanting to have this surgery. Do it! Don't listen to any friends, family, acquaintances, etc. Do what will make you happy. Keep a positive mind, follow doctors orders & you too will have success with the surgery.
