I am 11 years post gastric bypass. My gastric bypass was done laparscopically, not open therefore I had a complication later on resulting in a mesentery thrombosis (tangled intestine) known as bowel ischemia. I had to have an open procedure in 2004 to untangle it then 2005 had my gall bladder removed. I was left with a lot of keloid scars, adhesions (scar tissue stuck) and was sewn back together like Frankenstein in order to save my life. Unfortunately after the intestine was untangled I was 80 lbs post op. Over the years I regained weight and now weigh 120lbs steadily and consistenly. I am a saggy mess, a work in progress, but know that I am still beautiful regardless of what I have done to my body (or don't do)
