Album Description

I'm not one to put nude pictures of myself up anywhere - but I've been reading through these message boards trying to find more publicly accessible pictures of a before/after mini tummy-tuck procedure, and there isn't a lot. Certainly not a lot available that I can just look at without contacting people directly. So, I'm putting these up without a password (eeeep). I've had 2 kids - most of my issue is below my belly button (stretch marks, skin laxity, muscle separation). Hoping that the mini-tummy tuck will help with my self-esteem/body image about my belly. I'm worried (really worried) about the scar for both placement and size.

My procedure is scheduled for the end of this month (in a couple of weeks). I'll update the album with more pictures as the months go by.

Also, if anyone can suggest things that I need to make the healing go quicker (i.e scar strips, bed pillows, etc) I'd be grateful :) I have no clue what the best products are...

Day 1: Home and resting after surgery. Won't lie, it hurts a lot now and I have trouble getting up to go pee or even just shift positions. They gave me hydromorphine for pain, but I havent taken any because I'm worried about feeling nauseated again and I prefer pain to nausea. I took a Tylenol 3 and it's cutting the pain a bit. Haven't evenpeekedat my tummy yet .. Maybe tomorrow ......

countdown less than 2 days until my surgery now. Getting a little nervous.... :0

I'd love to see pics of your tummy tuck once you're ready to show them lane41. I was told that I'd have drains in for 48 hours - so I am expecting that. I'll post pics on Tuesday night - I'm sure it'll be a little frightening to look at...

Good luck with your upcoming surgery and thanks for putting up your pics. for all of us to see. After 2 c-sections and my last pregnancy 2.5 yrs ago at age 39... I'm now 41, I needed the extra help that consistent exercise and clean eating wouldn't accomplish. I just had my mini-TT last Tuesday along with lipo to my outer thighs. I'm doing really well. I wear the required garments (the girdle which goes from under the boobs to your mid thighs and I wear the wrapping garment around the waist). I took the pain meds up until just yesterday and I feel great today. I believe I will feel "normal" in about another week. I can already see drastic results. My thighs are almost non-existent and my waistline is smaller, and I can feel that its tighter. I also had lipo done to the stomach area as well. My stomach feels loose when I'm not wearing the garment, but that's to be expected since I had my stomach wall tightened. I'm sure in time it will be fine. I did not have drains either which I hear many people do though I thought that was most common in full tummy tuck procedures. Humm. Anyhow, good luck and keep us posted on how you're doing.

wow - thanks for the suggestions! I bought some arnica montana - and have been considering the scar treatment kit from Rejuveness? I've heard a lot of good about Kelo-Cote too and Apple Cider Vinegar. I started using Bio-Oil (pre-surgery).

I forgot two other important supplements I've been taking: probiotics and good Omega 3s

Thank you for being brave in posting your photos. I've had a TT and inner thigh lift and have been doing lymphatic drainage massage (12 to date in just 2-1/2 months post procedure); I've been consistently taking since pre-procedure: arnica montana, Ester-C, bromelain, D3, drinking 2 liters of SmartWater/day (reco'd by my therapist along with a low-salt diet), and just started to use Scar Repair from Nardo's Natural (it appears to be making a difference but it's only been less than a week). I also just started on a dandelion supplement to help with inflammation.

I've also been told a clean, high-protein diet will help with recovery and every week I've been making myself a stew of red swiss chard, garbanzo beans, celery, and diced tomatoes and having brussel sprouts almost every day as well as as other vegetables.

I keep switching things up and ate healthily before my procedure so it's just keeping up with the good habits and going a bit beyond. The one thing I struggle with the most is getting enough sleep! Good luck, hope this helps!
