Album DescriptionI had skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma) that had to be removed via MOHS surgery on 2/13/2009. Following the MOHS, I had a plastic surgeon do the closure on 2/19/2009. Since the closure affected my nose, he did a rhinoplasty at the same time because closing the defect from the cancer would've left my right nostril pulled to the side and literally facing up. While he was doing the surgery, he also made some adjustments to minimize the size of my enormous nostrils and pull down and thin the tip of my piggy nose just a tad. During an open rhinoplasty, he removed cartilage from the inside of the middle of my nose and placed it on the outer edges of my nostrils. I had to have packing because of family bleeding issues, but it was taken out 24 hours post-op, and I could breathe perfectly right away. I had inner and outer stitches, as well as a cast on the outside and splints on the inside. The first 5 days post op were horrible - a lot of pain, very uncomfortable, and tons of bruising. I screamed when the packing came out and jumped across the chair at the same time.
In the past, I've also had Botox and Restalyne Injections. I love them, and I have had them done 2-3 times per year over the last 4 years.
I also had a breast augmentation in 1999.
