I have this too after my tummy tuck. It's been 21 days since my surgery and I have a wound vac. My ps says he will do a revision also . What do they do? They retightened the skin?

Thank you for sharing I am five weeks out of surgery and have 2 large holes right above mu incision line have been searching for anybody who shared in my experience. Did you heal and then have another surgery, or did you choose to get it over with and have the corrective surgery. I have been so terrified!

How do you feel about it? Is it painful?
Will it leave scarring or require more surgery to repair, or does it just mean you'll have a longer healing process?
It looks like the surgery was successful w/o this problem. You must feel really good about how you look otherwise!

no - it's not an infection, it was a necrosis - the skin died as a result of trauma - Necrosis is the term for skin that has died; when skin becomes damaged or infected to the point that it can't repair itself, it undergoes necrosis. In the case of plastic surgery, necrosis usually occurs due to lack of oxygen to the area that was operated on.
no wrong was done -not my Dr nor myself at fault - it happens in a lucky 2% of surgeries
