This is Not a common problem , but one that can occur. The problem you have may be that the surgeon weakened or cut your levator mechanism. If this remains you may need to have surgery

How long should I wait until I start looking into corrective surgery?
Who should do the correction, an ophthalmologist or a plastic surgeon?
Thank you for your reply Dr. Wolf.
Anyone who has anything to add please do so.
