The Convoluted Bed Wedge Pillow (available in different sizes; includes pillow cover) is specially made in a convoluted (egg-crate like) incline design to provide proper alignment and keep your affected swollen areas (facial and/or body areas) comfortably elevated in an angle that is optimal for reducing swelling. Following surgery, it is recommended to be perpetually elevated in an approximate 30-45 degree position from the bed because this enables optimal blood circulation to all the vital healing areas and helps reduce the swelling. This bed wedge has a convoluted design that permits air flow for a drier and more comfortable surface. The bed wedge comes with a cover that has a zipper closure for easy removing and washing. The wedge is made in firm polyurethane foam. Available in different sizes.

Many patients find the bed wedge to be a superior and more comfortable elevation solution compared to putting oneself above pillows on a bed. A primary advantage of the bed wedge relative to pillows is that it is sturdy so that you can comfortably sleep without having to worry about slipping off as you would with pillows. Additionally, with the bed wedge you have no need to periodically rearrange your pillows if they shift around. Further, the bed wedge will not give rise to any tension and stress that you might feel from having empty spaces between your body and your pillows when you're propped up on your bed. Since the bed wedge can be moved around, you can use it to be in elevation wherever you are - whether you're in your bed, relaxing on a sofa, or on any other area of the house.
Beyond using the bed wedge during your recovery, this product is a great addition to your everyday life and can be used to elevate the head for breathing comfort, pressure relief, to elevate the feet for relief of swelling, to help with acid reflux disease and acid indigestion, and for the treatment of hiatal hernia. Moreover, people use the bed wedge to avoid sleeping and putting pressure on the face, which may contribute to wrinkling in the long-run. Ultimately, the bed wedge can be used daily for reading, relaxing or watching TV.
Other Comfort Pillows: To maximize your comfort during recovery, a good number of patients use a U-Shaped Pillow to have neck support and reduce the strain on the head and neck muscles while laying down on the bed wedge. The U-Shaped Pillow also helps to stabilize the neck and head while resting and sleeping during recovery.
Instructions For Use: You can place the bed wedge on top of your bed, sofa, or on any other surface that you wish to lay down on. You can use the wedge pillow in both its flat long position to lay down, or tall position to sit up. You may use the bed wedge to stay elevated during the initial phase of your recovery. It is recommended to stay elevated on the bed wedge as long as swelling is considerable in the affected areas.
